Must have tools for any Xperia User

So you got a new Xperia. Want to try different roms? Before you can enter the developers world, you will need certain important tools for your Xperia.

They are:
1)Flashtool : This software helps in flashing different ftf firmwares as well as unlocking bootloader. It has got many other features too apart from these basic features. You can download flashtool from the official flashtool website

2) Sony PC Companion : This is a PC application made by sony to serve as a multipurpose tool for our Xperia devices. One can use it to backup, restore, sync, update softwares and manage multimedia in their phones. To read more about PC Companion and download it, go here

3) Sony Update Service (SUS) : The sole purpose of this application is to keep our Xperia devices updated. You can download it and read more about it here

4) Backup TA : The most important tool if you want to begin real development and still retain warranty when required. It backups your ta partition which gets deleted while unlocking bootloader,  so that you can relock your device and bring it back to the factory condition to avail warranty services. Download it here

GUIDE : Xperia M Single SIM Rooting

In this post I am gonna provide a simple tutorial to root Xperia M Single SIM running on android 4.1.2.

For Xperia M Dual Rooting, go here

Files required :
1) Cydia Impactor
2) Busybox X
3) Reboot fix
4) SuperSU

Steps to fully root Xperia M Dual :
1) Connect your device to pc with usb debugging on
2) Install Cydia Impactor and open Impactor.exe
3) Click on start and wait for it to complete
4) Now, Unplug your phone and download supersu from play store
5) Open SuperSU and update su binary using normal install
6) Install Busybox X from play store. Open it and click on install button
7) Download reboot fix and extract to any folder of your choice. 
8) Connect your phone to PC via USB and run supersu.bat. Then follow onscreen instructions and your device will reboot after the process is complete.

Done. Now you have successfully rooted your Sony Xperia M c1904 running on android 4.1.2

GUIDE : Xperia M Dual Rooting

In this post I am gonna provide a simple tutorial to root Xperia M Dual.

Files required :

Sony adds AOSP support to the Xperia L

Today Sony has added Xperia L to its growing
Android™ Open Source Project for
Xperia devices, letting developers build and flash
Android 4.4 (KitKat) on a bootloader unlocked Xperia L.

This is the first time they have added support for a
device with the 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8230
dual-core chip, so we can expect a support for Xperia M/M Dual too very soon, coz it's running on almost same chipset with minor differences.

Even though the software is not suited for
everyday use, and important functions like
Bluetooth™ and GPS are still disabled, there are
actually a lot of things working already. It is
possible to make phone calls, send and receive
messages, surf the Internet through either the
mobile network or Wi-Fi® connection, take
photos and shoot video clips. The LED light,
NFC and sensors are also working (at least
partially).
So, in the end, we Xperia M users are having fingers crossed for aosp support,  and also, have a hope that some genius developer would surely bring some awesome roms on our devices.

Hey guys,
   Myself Mohit Raj, basically a techoholic person and an Xperia device owner. I do own a Sony Xperia M Dual c2004, and most of my posts would focus on this particular device only. But surely,  I will make sure to update you guys with the latest updates for the Xperia devices. I would be posting every single development stuff here, like rooting, mods, tweaks, apps and games, roms, etc. I would be very pleased to help anyone in need too.
